Motherhood of Africa is a nonprofit organization in Worcester, MA dedicated to supporting vulnerable mothers and children in Africa and the US. Our goal is to uplift black, minority, and immigrant communities struggling with issues like poverty, lack of access to healthcare, mental health support, and sustainable livelihoods. We provide vital services like medical care, counseling, job training, food pantries, child support, and more to marginalized groups, helping them achieve equity and gain opportunities to reach stability. Whether they're in Ghana or Central Massachusetts, women and kids can count on us for compassionate support.

It is undeniable that health and social issues, along with inadequacies in healthcare and social welfare infrastructures, disproportionately impact women and children worldwide. As a result, charities and philanthropies focused on the health of mothers and their kids have become vital in global healthcare. Organizations advocating for and providing critical aid to these people work to create health equity globally. Our nonprofit organization contributes to this mission through our work supporting nursing mothers and babies in Ghana who are detained in hospitals due to the inability to pay medical bills. We also assist minority and immigrant women and children in Central Massachusetts with necessities, healthcare access, job opportunities, and other support services.

Support That Empowers the Future

We work to create systemic change through policy advocacy, grassroots mobilization, service provision, and more to uplift the health and well-being of marginalized mothers and children in West Africa and right here in the US. Additionally, our group provides an equitable condition for vulnerable populations facing poverty, discrimination, and lack of opportunity. This support allows them to break the cycle of hardship and create a brighter tomorrow for themselves and future generations.
